1. Wie is verantwoordelijk voor de verwerking van jouw persoonsgegevens?

ITV Studios is een handelsnaam van ITV Studios Holding B.V. (onderdeel van ITV (Europe) Holdings B.V.) en de aan haar gelieerde ondernemingen (hierna: “ITV Studios” of “wij”). Via onze diensten worden jouw persoonlijke gegevens (hierna: “persoonsgegevens” of “gegevens“) verwerkt. Onder het verwerken verstaan we al het gebruik van je persoonsgegevens, zoals het opslaan, aanpassen, doorsturen of (gedeeltelijk) inzien of verwijderen van deze gegevens. Wij verwerken persoonsgegevens bijvoorbeeld doordat je gebruik maakt van onze websites of apps of doordat je meedoet als deelnemer, of publiek bij een van onze (TV-)producties. De verwerkingsverantwoordelijke hiervoor is ITV Studios, gevestigd aan de Familie De Mollaan 1, 1217 ZB te Hilversum.

2. Wanneer verwerken wij gegevens van minderjarigen?

Als je jonger bent dan 16 jaar mag je alleen persoonsgegevens met ons delen als je ouders of wettelijke vertegenwoordigers deze verklaring hebben gelezen en daarvoor toestemming hebben gegeven. Dit geldt alleen als toestemming ook de grondslag is voor de verwerking (zie ‘4. Hoe gebruiken we jouw persoonsgegevens?’). Met de technologie die we hebben, proberen we te controleren dat jouw ouder/ voogd ook echt toestemming heeft gegeven.

Voor het gebruik van ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva geldt in beginsel de minimumleeftijd van achttien (18) jaar. Ben je nog geen achttien (18) jaar, dan geldt het volgende:
a. Als je jonger bent dan 13 jaar is het niet toegestaan om het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva te gebruiken. Jouw ouder/ voogd zal na het tekenen van de (programma)overeenkomst die je sluit ten behoeve van de deelname aan een van onze programma’s, namens jou communiceren via het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva.
b. Als je ouder bent dan 13 jaar, maar jonger bent dan 18 jaar mag je het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva alleen gebruiken als je ouder/voogd hiervoor schriftelijke toestemming heeft gegeven. Als je ouder of voogd geen toestemming geeft, kunnen/blijven jouw ouders/voogd het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva namens jou gebruiken.

Bij het gebruik van het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva, is de verwerking van jouw gegevens gebaseerd op ons gerechtvaardigd belang.

3. Hoe verzamelen wij jouw persoonsgegevens?

De meest gebruikelijke manier waarop we gegevens verzamelen is door deze van je te vragen, bijvoorbeeld bij het invullen van een aanmeldformulier op een van onze websites of apps. Je hebt daarbij zelf de keuze of je deze gegevens met ons wil delen of niet. Wel kan het zo zijn dat wanneer je bepaalde gegevens niet wil delen, je geen gebruik kunt maken van onze diensten of niet als deelnemer of publiek kunt deelnemen aan onze producties. Bij het invullen van je gegevens geven we aan welke gegevens noodzakelijk zijn, en welke optioneel.
Daarnaast zijn er ook gegevens die we automatisch verzamelen, bijvoorbeeld (technische) gegevens over de apparaten die je gebruikt. Deze gegevens worden door ons verzameld via cookies en soortgelijke technieken.
Ten slotte verwerken wij voor ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva automatisch de berichten die je verstuurt via deze app. Dit bevat informatie die één op één of binnen een groep wordt verzonden met behulp van de chatfunctie op het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva. De inhoud van deze berichten wordt via een beveiligde manier steekproefsgewijs gecontroleerd.

4. Hoe gebruiken we jouw persoonsgegevens?

Wij verzamelen en verwerken verschillende persoonsgegevens van website- en appbezoekers, gebruikers, (potentiële) deelnemers en publiek. Deze persoonsgegevens kunnen wij voor verschillende doelen gebruiken. Hieronder vind je de informatie over de verwerking van jouw persoonsgegevens per onderwerp. We zullen jouw gegevens niet gebruiken voor andere doeleinden dan die hieronder staan beschreven.
Het benaderen en selecteren van geschikte deelnemers en publiek voor onze (TV-) producties
Voor de benadering en selectie van publiek en deelnemers aan onze (TV-)producties hebben we bepaalde gegevens nodig. Hiervoor verzamelen wij de volgende gegevens:

Afhankelijk van de aard van de productie verzamelen wij aanvullend voor deelname aan (TV-)producties nog specifieke gegevens:
● Burgerlijke staat en relatiestatus;
● Gegevens over partner en/of kinderen;
● Werkgerelateerde gegevens zoals werkgever, functie en inkomensgegevens;
● Betalingsgegevens zoals factuuradres, bankrekeningnummer en eventueel creditcardgegevens;
● Gegevens van je sociale media-accounts;
● Media (foto-, video- en audio fragmenten); en
● Biografische gegevens (je door ons opgestelde ‘bio’) en overige gegevens die van belang zijn voor de selectie of deelname aan onze programma’s. Biografische gegevens zijn gegevens zoals naam, geboortedatum, nationaliteit, familieleden, opleiding en werkervaring.

We gebruiken jouw gegevens om geschikte deelnemers en/of publiek voor onze (TV-) producties te kiezen. Dit doen wij op basis van verschillende grondslagen. In principe vragen we je altijd om toestemming. Daarnaast hebben we jouw gegevens soms nodig om de contractuele afspraken die we met je hebben gemaakt, uit te voeren. Ook moeten we ons houden aan wettelijke verplichtingen. Verder gebruiken we jouw gegevens omdat wij of een derde hier een gerechtvaardigd belang bij hebben, zoals het optimaliseren van onze bedrijfsprocessen. Hierbij maken we altijd een zorgvuldige afweging tussen ons belang en jouw privacybelang.
Sommige (aanvullende) gegevens die nodig zijn voor de selectie of deelname aan onze programma’s kunnen ook bijzondere persoonsgegevens bevatten zoals ras, etnische afkomst, politieke opvattingen, geloofsovertuiging, vakbond lidmaatschap, geaardheid, gezondheids- of strafrechtelijke gegevens. We zijn bewust van de gevoeligheid van deze gegevens en de mogelijke impact die het kan hebben op je privacy. Daarom verwerken we deze gegevens alleen op basis van jouw toestemming en gaan we extra zorgvuldig met deze gegevens om. Daarnaast zullen we deze gegevens drie maanden na de eerste uitzending van de laatste aflevering van een productie verwijderen.
De basisgegevens die voor dit doeleinde worden verwerkt, worden na tenminste 7 jaar verwijderd. Het gaat om de basisgegevens die zijn opgenomen in de overeenkomst die wij met jou zijn aangegaan en die wij bewaren in verband met de toestemming die jij hebt gegeven voor de overdracht van de (intellectuele eigendoms)rechten. De aanvullende gegevens zullen we drie maanden na de eerste uitzending van de laatste aflevering van een productie verwijderen. Uitzondering hierop is als de wet voorschrijft dat we bepaalde gegevens nog langer moeten bewaren. Bijvoorbeeld voor betalingsgegevens verplicht de Algemene Wet inzake Rijksbelasting ons deze 7 jaar te bewaren voor de Belastingdienst.

De opname in ons casting-bestand

Wanneer je opgenomen wilt worden in ons casting-bestand voor deelname of als publiek bij (TV) producties, hebben wij de volgende gegevens nodig:
● Naam, adres en woonplaats;
● Contactgegevens zoals een (mobiel)telefoonnummer en e-mailadres;
● Geboortedatum en leeftijd;
● Geslacht;
● Deelnamegeschiedenis; en
● (Deelnemers)overeenkomsten en overige contracten.

Wij verwerken deze gegevens enkel op basis van jouw toestemming. Je kunt je op ieder moment afmelden voor ons casting-bestand. We bewaren deze gegevens zolang je in het casting-bestand wil staan. Jouw gegevens worden verwijderd zodra je je voor het casting-bestand afmeldt.

De participatie van deelnemers en publiek aan onze (TV-) producties
Voor de benadering en selectie van publiek en deelnemers aan onze (TV-)producties hebben we bepaalde gegevens nodig. Hiervoor verzamelen wij de volgende gegevens:

Basisgegevens:
● Naam, adres en woonplaats;
● Contactgegevens zoals een (mobiel)telefoonnummer en e-mailadres;
● Geboortedatum en leeftijd;
● Geslacht;
● Deelnamegeschiedenis; en
● (Deelnemers)overeenkomsten en overige contracten.
Afhankelijk van de aard van de productie verzamelen wij aanvullend voor deelname aan (TV-)producties nog specifieke gegevens:
Burgerlijke staat en relatiestatus;
● Gegevens over partner en/of kinderen;
● Werkgerelateerde gegevens zoals werkgever, functie en inkomensgegevens;
● Betalingsgegevens zoals factuuradres, bankrekeningnummer en eventueel creditcardgegevens;

Voor het gebruik van ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva
Voor het plaatsen van berichten, delen van informatie of voor contact met anderen via ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva is een account nodig. Daarnaast zorgen we op het communicatieplatform en de app Ochiva voor efficiëntere communicatie en een hoger veiligheidsniveau bij televisieproducties, waaronder coördinatie en contentbeheer. We verzamelen hiervoor de volgende gegevens:
Basisgegevens:
● Accountgegevens zoals naam en e-mail
Aanvullende gegevens voor het gebruik van ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva:
● Berichten, waaronder geschreven tekst, maar ook foto’s, video’s en spraakmemo’s, verstuurd via ons communicatieplatform en app Ochiva
● Status informatie (online, offline)
● In bepaalde gevallen verzamelen we locatiegegevens. Alleen als je hiervoor toestemming hebt gegeven verzamelen wij deze informatie. De locatiegegevens worden verzameld met gebruikmaking van navigatie- en locatiesoftware op jouw telefoon, tablet of computer.
Technische gegevens:
● Gedetailleerde (technische)gegevens over het gebruik van onze websites of apps, bijvoorbeeld het apparaat type en -eigenschappen, browsertype, datum en tijd van de interactie en IP-adres; en
We gebruiken jouw gegevens op basis van verschillende grondslagen. In principe vragen we je altijd om toestemming. Daarnaast hebben we jouw gegevens soms nodig om de contractuele afspraken die we met je hebben gemaakt, uit te voeren. Verder gebruiken we jouw gegevens omdat wij of een derde hier een gerechtvaardigd belang bij hebben, zoals het bewaken van veilig internetverkeer via ons communicatieplatform Ochiva. Hierbij maken we altijd een zorgvuldige afweging tussen ons belang en jouw privacybelang.
De gegevens die verwerkt worden gedurende het gebruik van het communicatieplatform na 12 maanden na de laatste opnames van een productie geautomatiseerd vernietigen, tenzij wij een gerechtvaardigd belang hebben voor het langer bewaren van de gegevens, zoals de correcte afhandeling van klachten. In dat geval worden jouw gegevens 6 maanden na de afhandeling van de klacht vernietigd.

Verbeteren, onderhouden, analyseren en beveiligen van onze website en apps
Om ervoor te zorgen dat je onze website en apps eenvoudig en veilig kunt gebruiken, is het belangrijk dat wij onze website en apps continu analyseren, onderhouden, verbeteren en beveiligen, verzamelen wij de volgende gegevens:
● Gedetailleerde (technische)gegevens over het gebruik van onze websites of apps, bijvoorbeeld het apparaat type en -eigenschappen, browsertype, datum en tijd van de interactie en IP-adres; en
We gebruiken jouw gegevens op basis van verschillende grondslagen. In principe vragen we je altijd om toestemming. Daarnaast gebruiken we jouw gegevens omdat wij of een derde hier een gerechtvaardigd belang bij hebben, zoals het beveiligen en verbeteren van onze website of app. Hierbij maken we altijd een zorgvuldige afweging tussen ons belang en jouw privacybelang.

Voor het sturen van advertenties of prijsvragen
Voor het ontvangen van advertenties en prijsvragen van ITV Studios en partners, zoals adverteerders en sponsors, verzamelen wij de volgende gegevens:
● Naam, adres en woonplaats;
● Contactgegevens zoals een (mobiel)telefoonnummer en e-mailadres;
● Geboortedatum en leeftijd;
● Geslacht; en
● Deelnamegeschiedenis.

We gebruiken jouw gegevens op basis van verschillende grondslagen. In principe gebruiken we je gegevens alleen met jouw toestemming. We informeren en vragen je om toestemming voordat we cookies plaatsen en uitlezen, of voordat we je (elektronische) commerciële boodschappen toesturen. Daarnaast verwerken we je gegevens omdat wij of een derde hier een gerechtvaardigd belang bij heeft, namelijk het commerciële belang. We zullen de verzamelde gegevens binnen 12 maanden na ontvangst van de gegevens verwijderen.

5. Met wie kunnen we jouw persoonsgegevens delen?

Je gegevens kunnen binnen ITV Studios worden uitgewisseld en gecombineerd. Zie ook ‘1. Wie is verantwoordelijk voor jouw gegevens?’

Voor het verwerken van je persoonsgegevens maken wij gebruik van derden die toegang krijgen tot jouw gegevens, waaronder IT-systemen (zoals Gmail of payroll-systemen), zenders/omroepen, fixers voor buitenlandse producties, screeningbureaus, kandidaten-begeleiders en psychologen, om technische ondersteuning, productie en begeleiding te bieden. Waar mogelijk verplichten wij deze derde partijen om in de rol van verwerker op te treden. Dit houdt in dat wij het doel en middelen voor deze verwerkingen bepalen en de verwerker alleen volgens onze instructies en onze (beveiliging)standaarden met jouw gegevens mag omgaan. Deze afspraken leggen we met elke verwerker vast in een zogenaamde verwerkersovereenkomst.

Sommige van deze verwerkers bevinden zich buiten de EU. Omdat buiten de EU niet eenzelfde niveau van privacybescherming gegarandeerd is, hebben we met deze partijen (aanvullende) afspraken gemaakt. Met deze verwerkers sluiten wij een goedgekeurd modelcontract van de Europese Commissie (ook wel standard contractual clauses genoemd). In het geval de gegevens worden doorgegeven naar de Verenigde Staten sluiten we ook het modelcontract af of laten we dit plaatsvinden onder het zogenaamde EU-VS Data Privacy Framework.

6. Welke cookies gebruiken wij?

Op onze websites en/of apps maken wij gebruik van cookies en andere soortgelijke technieken (hierna: “cookies“). Cookies zijn informatiebestandjes die bij het bezoeken van een website automatisch kunnen worden opgeslagen op of uitgelezen van het apparaat (zoals PC, tablet of smartphone) van de websitebezoeker. Je kunt via je browser het plaatsen van cookies uitschakelen, maar sommige functies van onze website werken dan niet goed meer. Informatie over het specifieke type cookies dat wij gebruiken en hoe je deze cookies kunt beheren, is te vinden in onze Cookie Policy.

Met andere bedrijven die cookies plaatsen hebben wij afspraken gemaakt over het gebruik van de cookies. Toch hebben wij geen volledige controle op wat zij zelf met de cookies doen. Als je wilt weten wat deze partijen doen met jouw persoonsgegevens, lees dan hun privacyverklaring.

7. Hoe beveiligen wij jouw persoonsgegevens?

We doen ons uiterste best om de persoonsgegevens zo goed mogelijk te beveiligen. We doen dit door het treffen van organisatorische en technische beveiligingsmaatregelen die gelet op de stand van de techniek proberen te voorkomen dat iemand ongeoorloofde toegang tot de gegevens krijgt, deze kan aanpassen, openbaar kan maken of ervoor kan zorgen dat de gegevens verloren gaan. Hiervoor gebruiken wij beveiligingsmaatregelen zoals:

Twee factor authenticatie
Regelmatige beveiligingsaudits en monitoring

Als we zogenaamde verwerkers inschakelen, verplichten we deze om volgens onze instructies en onze (beveiliging)standaarden met jouw gegevens om te gaan. Zie ook ‘5. Met wie kunnen we jouw persoonsgegevens delen?’.

8. Wat zijn jouw rechten met betrekking tot jouw persoonsgegevens?

Als persoon wiens gegevens door ITV Studios verwerkt worden, heb je de volgende rechten:

Recht op inzage: je hebt het recht de persoonsgegevens die wij van jou verwerken, in te zien.
Recht op rectificatie: je hebt het recht de persoonsgegevens die wij van jouw verwerken, te corrigeren of aan te vullen indien deze onjuist of onvolledig zijn.
Recht om je toestemming in te trekken: je kunt je toestemming altijd eenvoudig intrekken.
Recht van bezwaar: je kunt bezwaar maken tegen de verwerking van jouw persoonsgegevens.
Recht op verwijdering: je kunt ons verzoeken je persoonsgegevens te verwijderen.
Recht op overdraagbaarheid van gegevens: indien het technisch mogelijk is, heb je het recht om de persoonsgegevens die wij van jou verwerken te laten overdragen naar een derde partij.
Recht op beperking van de verwerking: in sommige gevallen kun je verzoeken om het verwerken van je persoonsgegevens (al dan niet tijdelijk) te beperken wat betekent dat wij minder gegevens van je verwerken.

Wanneer je gebruik wilt maken van een van deze rechten, kunnen wij je vragen om je te identificeren. Wij vragen hiervoor gegevens op om er zeker van te zijn dat jij de juiste persoon bent aan wie de persoonsgegevens toebehoren. Je kunt ons altijd een verzoek sturen om je rechten uit te oefenen. Je doet dit door een e-mail te sturen naar privacy.nl@itv.com.

Wij zullen in principe binnen een maand aan jouw verzoek voldoen. Deze termijn kan echter worden verlengd om redenen die verband houden met de specifieke rechten van betrokkenen of de complexiteit van het verzoek. Als wij deze termijn verlengen, zullen wij jou daarvan tijdig op de hoogte stellen.

9. Klachten

Als je een klacht in wil dienen over het gebruik van jouw persoonsgegevens kun je een e- mail sturen naar onze functionaris gegevensbeschreming via privacy.nl@itv.com.Wij pakken elke klacht intern op en communiceren dit verder met jou. Als je vindt dat wij je niet op de juiste manier helpen, dan heb je het recht om een klacht in te dienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

11. Wijzigingen

Wij kunnen deze Privacy Policy eenzijdig wijzigen. We raden je dan ook aan om regelmatig deze Privacy Policy op wijzigingen te controleren. Als we grote wijzigingen aanbrengen, zullen we je daarvan op de hoogte stellen. Bijvoorbeeld door een melding op onze websites en/of apps te plaatsen, via e-mail of doordat we opnieuw toestemming vragen. De laatste wijziging was op 14 april 2025.

1. Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

ITV Studios is a trade name of ITV Studios Holding B.V. (part of ITV (Europe) Holdings B.V.) and its affiliates (hereinafter: “ITV Studios” or “we“). Your personal data (hereinafter: “personal data” or “data“) is processed through our services. By processing we mean all the use of your personal data, such as storing, modifying, forwarding or (partially) viewing or deleting this data. We process personal data, for example, because you use our websites or apps or because you participate as a participant or audience in one of our (TV) productions. The controller for this is ITV Studios, located at Familie De Mollaan 1, 1217 ZB in Hilversum.

2. When do we process data of minors?

If you are under the age of 16, you may only share personal data if your parents or legal guardians have read and given permission to do so. This only applies if consent is also the basis for the processing (see ‘4. How do we use your personal data?’). With the technology we have, we try to check that your parent/guardian has actually given permission.

In principle, the minimum age of eighteen (18) years applies to the use of our communication platform and app Ochiva. If you are not yet eighteen (18) years old, the following applies:

a. If you are under 13 years of age, you are not allowed to use the communication platform and the app. After signing the (programme)agreement that you enter into for the purpose of participating in one of our programs, your parent/guardian will communicate on your behalf via , the communication platform and the app Ochiva.

b. If you are over 13 years of age, but under 18 years of age, you may only use the communication platform and app if your parent/guardian has given written permission to do so. If your parent or guardian does not give permission, your parents/guardian can/will continue to use the communication platform and the Ochiva app on your behalf. When using the communication platform and the Ochiva app, the processing of your data is based on legitimate interest.

3. How do we collect your personal data?

The most common way in which we collect data is by asking you to do so, for example when filling in the registration form on one of our websites of apps . You have the choice whether you want to share this data with us or not. However, if you do not want to share certain data, you may not be able to use our services or participate in our productions as a participant or public. When filling in your details, we indicate which data is necessary and which is optional.

In addition, there is also data that we collect automatically, for example (technical) data about the devices you use. This data is collected by us via cookies and similar techniques.

Finally, for our communication platform and app Ochiva, we automatically process the messages you send via the app. This includes information that is sent one-on-one or within a group using the chat function on the communication platform and the Ochiva app. The content of these messages is randomly checked in a secure manner.e handle all those data with extra care. Also, we remove those data immediately after the final broadcasting date of a production.

4. How do we use your personal data?

We collect and process various personal data of website visitors, users, participants and the public. We can use this personal data for various purposes. Below you will find the information about the processing of your personal data per subject. We will not use your data for any purpose other than those described below.

Approaching and selecting suitable participants and audiences for our (TV) productions
We need certain data to approach and select the audience and participants for our (TV) productions. For this purpose, we collect the following data:

Basic data:
● Name, address and place of residence;
● Contact details such as a (mobile) telephone number and e-mail address;
● Date of birth and age;
● Gender;
● Participation history; and
● (Participant) agreements and other contracts.
Depending on the nature of the production, in addition we collect for participation in certain (TV) productions, specific information:
● Marital status and relationship status;
● Data about partner and/or children;
● Work-related data such as employer, position and income data;

We use your data to choose suitable participants and/or audience for our (TV) productions. We do this on the basis of various principles. In principle, we always ask for your permission. In addition, we sometimes need your data to carry out the contractual arrangements we have made with you. We also have to comply with legal obligations. We also use your data because we or a third party have a legitimate interest in doing so, such as optimizing our business processes. In doing so, we always carefully weigh up our interests and your privacy interests.
Some (additional) data that is necessary for the selection or participation in our programs may also contain special personal data such as race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, health or criminal data. We are aware of the sensitivity of this data and the potential impact it may have on your privacy. That is why we only process this data on the basis of your consent and we handle this data with extra care. In addition, we will delete this data three months after the first broadcast of the last episode of a production.
The basic data processed for this purpose will be deleted after at least 7 years . This concerns the basic data that is included in the agreement that we have entered into with you and that we keep in connection with the consent you have given for the transfer of the (intellectual) property rights. We will remove the additional data three months after the first broadcast of the last episode of a production. An exception to this is if the law prescribes that we must keep certain data for a longer period of time. For example, the General Law on State Tax obliges us to keep payment data for the tax authorities for at least 7 years.

The inclusion in our casting file

If you want to be included in our casting file for participation or as an audience in (TV) productions, we need the following information:
● Name, address and place of residence;
● Contact details such as a (mobile) telephone number and e-mail address;
● Date of birth and age;
● Gender;
● Participation history; and
● (Participant) agreements and other contracts.
We only process this data on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe from our casting file at any time. We keep this data for as long as you want to be in the casting file. Your data will be deleted as soon as you unsubscribe from the casting file.

Participation of participants and public in our (TV) productions
We need certain data to approach and select the audience and participants in our (TV) productions. For this purpose, we collect the following data:
Basic:
● Name, address and place of residence;
● Contact details such as a (mobile) telephone number and e-mail address;
● Date of birth and age;
● Gender;
● Participation history; and
● ( Participant) agreements and other contracts.
Depending on the nature of the production, we may collect in addition, specific information for participation in (TV) productions:
Marital status and relationship status;
● Data about partner and/or children;
● Work-related data such as employer, job title and income data;
● Payment details such as billing address, bank account number and possibly credit card details;

For the use of our communication platform and app Ochiva
To post messages, share information or to communicate with other people on the production via our communication platform and app Ochiva, an account is needed. We ensure more efficient communication and a higher level of security in television productions by using the communication platform and the Ochiva app, including coordination and content management. We collect the following data for this purpose:
Basic data:
● Account details such as name and email
Additional data for the use of our communication platform and app Ochiva:
• Messages sent via our communication platform and app Ochiva , including written text, as well as photos, videos and voice memos,
● Status information (online, offline)
● In certain cases, we collect location data. We will only collect this information if you have given permission for this. The location data is collected with use of navigation and location software on your phone, tablet or computer.

Technical data:
● Detailed (technical) data about the use of our websites or apps, for example the device type and characteristics, browser type, date and time of the interaction and IP address; and
we use your data on the basis of various principles. In principle, we always ask for your permission. In addition, we sometimes need your data to carry out the contractual arrangements we have made with you. We also use your data because we or a third party have a legitimate interest in doing so, such as monitoring secure internet traffic via our communication platform Ochiva. In doing so, we always carefully weigh up our interests and your privacy interests.
The data processed during the use of our communication platform will be automatically destroyed after 12 months after the last recording of a production, unless we have a legitimate interest in storing the data for a longer period of time, such as the correct handling of complaints. In that case, your data will be destroyed 6 months after the complaint has been handled.

Improving, maintaining, analyzing and securing our websites and apps
To ensure that you can use our website and apps easily and safely, it is important that we continuously analyze, maintain, improve and secure our websites and apps, we collect the following data:
● Detailed (technical) data about the use of our websites or apps, for example the device type and characteristics, browser type, date and time of the interaction and IP address; and
we use your data on the basis of various principles. In principle, we always ask for your permission. In addition, we use your data because we or a third party have a legitimate interest in doing so, such as securing and improving our websites or app. In doing so, we always carefully weigh up our interests and your privacy interests.

To send advertisements or contests
In order to receive advertisements and contests from ITV Studios and partners, such as advertisers and sponsors, we collect the following data:
● Name, address and place of residence;
● Contact details such as a (mobile) telephone number and e-mail address;
● Date of birth and age;
● Gender; and
● Participation history.

We use your data on the basis of various principles. In principle, we only use your data with your permission. We inform and ask for your consent before we place and read cookies, or before we send you (electronic) commercial messages. In addition, we process your data because we or a third party has a legitimate interest in doing so, namely the commercial interest. We will delete the collected data within 12 months after receiving the data.

5. With whom can we share your personal data?

Your data can be exchanged and combined within ITV Studios. See also ‘1. Who is responsible for your data?’
To process your personal data, we use third parties who have access to your data, including IT systems (such as Gmail or payroll systems), broadcasters, fixers for foreign productions, screening agencies, candidate counsellors and psychologists, to provide technical support, production and guidance. Where possible, we require these third parties to act in the role of processor. This means that we determine the purpose and means for this processing and that the processor may only handle your data in accordance with our instructions and our (security) standards. We record these agreements with each processor in a so-called processing agreement.

Some of these processors are located outside the EU. Because the same level of privacy protection is not guaranteed outside the EU, we have made (additional) agreements with these parties. We conclude an approved model contract from the European Commission (also known as standard contractual clauses) with these processors. In the event that the data is transferred to the United States, we also enter into the model contract or have it take place under the so-called EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Which cookies do we use?

On our websites and/or apps, we use cookies and other similar techniques (hereinafter: “cookies“). Cookies are small information files that can be automatically stored on or read from the device (such as PC, tablet or smartphone) of the website visitor when visiting a website. You can disable the placing of cookies via your browser, but some functions of our website will no longer work properly. 7. How do we protect your personal data?

We do our utmost to secure personal data as well as possible. We do this by taking organisational and technical security measures that, in view of the state of the art, try to prevent someone from gaining unauthorised access to the data, modifying it, making it public or causing the loss of the data. For this we use security measures such as:

Two-factor authentication
Regular security audits and monitoring

If we engage so-called processors, we oblige them to handle your data in accordance with our instructions and our (security) standards. See also ‘5. With whom can we share your personal data?’.

8. What are your rights with regard to your personal data?

As a person whose data is processed by ITV Studios, you have the following rights:

Right of access: you have the right to view the personal data that we process about you.
Right to rectification: you have the right to correct or supplement the personal data that we process about you if it is incorrect or incomplete.
Right to withdraw your consent: You can easily withdraw your consent at any time.
Right to object: you can object to the processing of your personal data.
Right to erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data.
Right to data portability: if it is technically possible, you have the right to have the personal data that we process about you transferred to a third party.
Right to restriction of processing: in some cases, you can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted (temporarily or otherwise), which means that we process less of your data.

If you want to exercise one of these rights, we may ask you to identify yourself. We request data for this to ensure that you are the right person to whom the personal data belongs. You can always send us a request to exercise your rights. You do this by sending an e-mail to privacy.nl@itv.com.

In principle, we will comply with your request within one month. However, this period may be extended for reasons related to the specific rights of data subjects or the complexity of the request. If we extend this period, we will inform you in good time.

9. Complaints

If you want to submit a complaint about the use of your personal data, you can send an e-mail to our data protection officer via privacy.nl@itv.com. We handle every complaint internally and communicate this further with you. If you feel that we are not helping in the right way, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

11. Changes
